quotes It hurt to look at the fork constantly blowing through its travel, bobbing up and down like a pogo, constantly using like 80% of the travel. Which is because of a lack of low speed compression and because its an air sprung fork. I hope people realise air forks suck big donkey balls for this kind of riding (if that thing is coil sprung I will literally suck big donkey balls). On descents like this you should dial in more low speed compression to combat the effect of braking, especially if you are doing it with brakes with a bite like his. This guy seems completely oblivious to that though. But very impressive how he manages to ride that underdamped air fork through!

quotes When I looked at the thumbnail I thought it was two riders flipping simultaneously on two levels of a semi-demolished parking garage. Hmm that might be a good idea for a shot actually..

quotes Highsider is entirely right. For those now wondering "ehm wtf? then why don't they make frames with big steel tubing?": well, that's because steel is much more dense (heavier) than aluminium. So if you would make a steel frame with big tubing it would either be super heavy, or the tube walls would be thin as a can, which would be kind of a problem :)

quotes Yea that one really staggered me at first! But then I realised its the same as trying to destroy a golfball by hitting it with a golfclub. Which relatively is the same as throwing the golfball into the club, which is the same as throwing the frame into the wall. What does it do? It bounces back.

quotes Wow awesome vid!! I really like these factory visits, seeing how things go inside! First test made me cringe all throughout. The "pass" was hillarious.

quotes Yea I think you'r right, this is it, can't design much else anymore, we'v hit the plateu. Just like with computers 10 years ago right? Just like Da Vinci and Einstein thougt right? :p On the horizon I spy: - Other linkage systems, for instance: six-bar (like felt equilink), sliders (like yeti 303), Nicolai is doing a lot of interesting stuff as well. Basically new combinations of four- and six-bar configurations for braking, drivetrain, axle path and shock activation. Also there is all the stuff I can't think/know of - Four-bar front end, BMW telelever or duolever style - Gearboxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Maybe some CVT system - And of course materials. More stuff made from carbon. Maybe other composites come up, or some polymer. I can also imagine different material structures, like rear end links with a structure like a crane, or tubes with internal structures. I can imagine those structures/materials being one-piece, which means they are somehow "grown", like crystals, or 3D printed, stuff like that. And then at some point biomechanical materials I guess. Maybe some real interesting tyre material comes up. - And of course damping and springing, but this is more than enough blabla allready. That's just some stuff I see on the horizon, no doubt other people see more. And then there is the VAST unknown beyond the horizon, no way to tell what's beyond, it sure isn't a wall if you ask me. Maybe robots take over though :) Besides, all the stuff you mention is ALL four-bar. Patents? There is plenty of fairly unknown four-bar bikes who use a "patented design" without a license. Also plenty of four-bar bikes who are exactly like certain other patented designs, but have managed to get their own patent. A patent license makes you hop on someone else's hype bandwagon.

quotes I guess males that can cross their legs have small balls, otherwise their balls would, like with most of us, get crushed.

quotes "Sunday’s Downhill podium was once again filled with riders running proven Shimano components." Bit too obvious there haha
